We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping an at-risk population receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.Essential Duties:Perform necessary clerical functions for the human resources officeMaintain up-to-date personnel filesMaintain accurate weekly and monthly reports. Coordinate payroll changes with accountingProcess paperwork for terminating employees, including retirement report and forms when applicableInform new employees of available insurance benefits, procedures, and other related information. Coordinated with insurance company regarding claims, resolution of problem cases, and other related functionsMaintain the chronological training log and individual training records for all employeesReceive visitors and telephone calls; handle routine matters personally and direct non-routine business to proper staff for considerationType reports, maintain records and files.Maintain updated files on employee service awards and coordinate with warden on presentation of awardsProvide follow-up correspondence to applicants and agencies regarding employment statusAssist the manager, human resources in the advertisement of all open positions with job bid program, state employment department, local newspaper advertising and other appropriate recruitment sourcesEnsure all new hire information and other personnel changes are entered into the computer and proper notification forwarded to payroll and ensure adequate and up-to-date personnel records are maintainedPromote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observedMaintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practicesEducation and experience requirements:High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years clerical or related experience requiredHuman Resources experience preferredValid driver's license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.Post Hire RequirementsMust successfully complete all annual in-service requirements.Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
