The position requires experience in several surgical service lines, including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, ENT, GI, spine, ophthalmology, and podiatry. Candidates should be able to circulate various procedures and assist in patient care. The ideal candidate should have experience working in smaller community hospital settings and be comfortable with on-call responsibilities. Knowledge of specific surgical equipment and some familiarity with the service lines is necessary. Additionally, candidates should be prepared to adapt and learn quickly within a fast-paced environment. The position involves assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team. Registered Nurses will provide direct patient care, evaluate patient progress, and engage in patient and family education for post-discharge care. Promoting a healing environment is a key aspect of the role, along with advocating for patient safety and rights. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
