Universal Mental Health Services (UMHS) is seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to support the Lenoir office. This role provides clerical and administrative assistance to the CQI Department, including data entry, filing, record maintenance, document organization, and support for daily office operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information in a professional manner.

Job Type: Temporary, part-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., based on agency needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and other clerical duties as assigned.
• Maintain organized records, documents, and office materials.
• Assist the CQI Department with administrative tasks and daily workflow needs.
• Prepare, review, and organize documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate professionally with staff, clients, and visitors as needed.
• Support general office operations and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous clerical, receptionist, administrative, or office support experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn office systems and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional customer service skills and the ability to work respectfully with staff, clients, and visitors.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering, reviewing, and maintaining information.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled hours consistently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a healthcare, behavioral health, or human services office environment.
• Experience maintaining records, files, reports, or compliance-related documentation.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced office environment with changing priorities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and perform routine office tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
