Director of Finance & Strategic Investments Position Overview We are seeking a sophisticated finance and investment professional to lead financial operations, capital strategy, and strategic growth initiatives across a dynamic media and investment platform. This individual will play a critical role in managing corporate finance functions while also supporting complex transactions, investment analysis, and long-term capital planning. The ideal candidate brings a rare blend of operational finance leadership, transaction experience, and entertainment/media industry knowledge. They should be equally comfortable managing day-to-day financial infrastructure as they are evaluating investment opportunities, structuring financings, and engaging with institutional capital partners. This role is designed for someone who can operate as both a senior finance executive and a strategic advisor to ownership. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Operational Oversight Lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and liquidity management initiatives Oversee financial performance across multiple business units, productions, and investment entities Develop scalable reporting processes and internal controls to support continued growth Manage relationships with external accounting firms, auditors, insurers, and financial institutions Monitor organizational cash positioning and optimize capital utilization across entities Provide leadership around budgeting, financial reporting, and executive-level analytics Capital Markets & Structured Finance Support the sourcing, negotiation, and execution of debt and structured financing arrangements Maintain active relationships with banks, private credit providers, and strategic capital partners Assist in evaluating financing alternatives for productions, acquisitions, and growth initiatives Coordinate financing workflows tied to media assets, production receivables, and incentive programs Help structure investment vehicles and special purpose entities for individual projects and broader investment strategies Partner with external stakeholders throughout financing and closing processes Strategic Transactions & Investment Analysis Analyze potential acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and investment opportunities Build and review financial models related to valuation, transaction structuring, and return analysis Participate in diligence processes alongside legal, tax, and accounting advisors Assist leadership with strategic planning, capital allocation, and long-term growth initiatives Develop materials and analysis for investor discussions and capital raising efforts Support portfolio monitoring and performance evaluation activities Executive & Investor Support Prepare high-quality presentations, reporting packages, and investment memoranda for internal and external stakeholders Serve as a financial partner to executive leadership on major strategic decisions Help establish institutional-quality finance and investment processes as the platform expands Contribute to long-range planning efforts involving both operating businesses and investment activities Qualifications Required Experience 7+ years of experience across corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, strategic finance, entertainment finance, or related fields Strong understanding of capital structures, financing transactions, and financial modeling Experience working with lenders, investors, and external advisory teams Demonstrated ability to operate in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities Strong communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with senior stakeholders Preferred Background Candidates with combinations of the following experience will be especially attractive: Media or entertainment finance TMT Banking Transaction execution or M&A advisory Family office or principal investing environments Structured credit or specialty finance Ideal Candidate Profile The successful candidate is: commercially minded and highly analytical capable of balancing strategy with execution comfortable navigating complex transactions and evolving business environments proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented able to build credibility with investors, lenders, and senior executives alike This is an opportunity to join a growing platform at a highly strategic level with significant visibility, influence, and long-term upside potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr Korn Ferry
