Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour Job Schedule: Day TimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and merchants by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns. Monitor access points, observe activity within the retail location, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, or maintenance concerns according to site procedures. Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence and positive interactions with the public. Minimum Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
