Baker – Southeast Community College – Lincoln Great Western Dining at our Southeast Community College – Lincoln location is looking for a skilled and passionate baker to prepare a wide range of baked goods including breads, pastries, cookies, and specialty items. The ideal candidate will have experience in baking techniques, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and cleanliness. This role requires early morning shifts and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Schedule Full Time, Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 3:00 pm Responsibilities Produce standard baked goods such as cakes, cookies, biscuits, muffins, and various types of puddings Assist in developing new recipes and menu items when applicable Unload, clean, and operate mixers Maintain all daily production, sanitation sheets, and applicable forms to ensure all procedures are met Assist with cleaning the kitchen and maintaining a sanitary work area Meet or exceed all established HACCP sanitation and safety standards Work collaboratively with other kitchen or bakery staff to meet production deadlines Perform other duties as required and assigned Skills and Qualifications One to two years as a baker or a bakery background preferred High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary or baking training preferred Knowledge of yeasts and other pre-ferments encouraged Customer‑service oriented and enjoy working in a student‑oriented environment Dependable and reliable Ability to make desserts from scratch Experienced in production line baking or food processing Knowledgeable about proper food handling and safety guidelines Detail oriented with the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and follow directions for equipment and recipe production Physical Requirements Continuous walking and other means of mobility Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time Equal Opportunity Statement We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from all qualified individuals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
