Credentialing Assistant

ShiftsAvailable: Days Employment Type: Full-Time Hours: 8-hour – 8:00am to 5:00pm Location: Mission Regional Medical Center– Mission, TX We are seeking a MedicalStaff Assistant, also known as aMedical Staff Office AssistantorCredentialing Assistant. The Medical Staff Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for the daily operations of the Medical Staff Office. The Medical Staff Assistant assists with credentialing activities, meeting preparation, department documentation, and other tasks while following established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Perform general office and clerical duties for the Medical Staff Office Assist with medical staff credentialing and related documentation Prepare materials and provide support for medical staff meetingsMaintain organized, accurate, and confidential records Support supervisors and coordinators with daily departmental needs Qualifications 1. High School Diploma required for all new hires starting 4/1/2014 2. 1-2 years in general or healthcare office, preferred. 3. Strong experience in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, preferred. 4. Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn. 5. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical staff services department and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred. 6. College degree, preferred.
