You'll help create a positive dining experience while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.QualificationsPatience, compassion, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward serving the elderly and individuals with disabilitiesAbility to speak, read, write, and understand EnglishAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsPrevious cooking experience is preferred; healthcare or long-term care experience is a plusKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention practicesMust be at least 18 years of ageAbility to perform the essential functions of the positionResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirementsEnsure meals are prepared, portioned, and served according to quality and food safety standardsReview production sheets and resident diet orders to ensure accuracyProperly store, label, and rotate food items using FIFO (First In, First Out) practicesMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areasMonitor food temperatures and follow all state, federal, and facility food safety regulationsAssist with meal service as needed and work collaboratively with the dietary teamFollow all infection prevention, sanitation, Universal Precautions, and workplace safety proceduresBenefitsBlue Cross Blue Shield Medical & Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchOpportunities for career growth and advancementWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity within our organization.
