DIRECT HIRE Physical Therapist Assignment in Hickory, North Carolina with Disability Coverage Paid

Clinical Magnet (part of ICON Medical) is hiring a Physical Therapist for a full-time, permanent opportunity with a leading community hospital in Hickory, North Carolina . This is an excellent opportunity for both new graduates and experienced clinicians to join a collaborative, patient-focused team in an acute care setting.

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist evaluates patients and develops individualized treatment plans to maximize functional mobility and independence. This role focuses on restoring function, preventing disability, and promoting overall wellness through evidence-based interventions. The PT will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients referred for physical therapy services
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and modify interventions as needed
• Promote prevention, wellness, and health education initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and non-licensed personnel
• Assist with weekend acute care coverage on a rotating basis

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Active North Carolina PT license (or compact state license)
• BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months)

Position Overview:

• Schedule: Flexible - 4 or 5 days per week
• Weekend Rotation: Approximately 1 in every 5-6 weekends (with a day off before and after worked weekend)
• Setting: Outpatient setting
• Compensation: $36.86 - $58.98/hour (based on experience)
