Welder I

Position Overview Welding Technician – responsible for performing MIG welding, TIG welding, aluminum welding, and electric or robotic welding in the fabrication of parts used in assembly of product lines. Pay: $23.60 per hour. Work Hours Shift Hours: 5:30am – 3:30pm Monday–Thursday. Friday Overtime: 5:30am – 1:30pm as required. Responsibilities Comply with company/site safety rules. Operate all required equipment safely and effectively. Flex across different products and areas to support business needs. Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas. Follow established procedures, processes, and policies. Interpret and understand engineering drawings and blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks. Assist with robotic welder. Complete additional duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent certification. Internal written and physical weld test. Understanding of welding fundamentals. Basic welding experience and/or training. Basic knowledge of MIG welding equipment. Ability to follow direction and work in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience on equipment and automation consistent with a metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operation. Intermediate mechanical aptitude and ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution. Previous experience with inventory control methods. Physical Demands Regular standing, walking, stooping, crouching, bending, and reaching above shoulders. Frequent use of hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50lb unassisted and up to 100lb with assistance, up to 10ft away. Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception. Temperature tolerance from cool to warm depending upon season. Compliance with assigned PPE requirements including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, clothing, shields, and closed‑toed safety shoes as required by facility safety policies.
