Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside nursing experience
• ICU experience or strong clinical skills appropriate for a long-term acute care hospital (LTAC) setting
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to develop an individualized plan of care
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in weekly interdisciplinary team conferences and communicate patient updates to support continuity of care
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education beginning on the day of admission
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
• Promote a safe, respectful, and efficient patient care environment
• Monitor supplies and support cost-effective, quality-driven healthcare delivery
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as needed
• Support ongoing professional development through continuing education and self-study
