Wellness Clinic Nurse (Per Diem)

Location 1290 Silas Deane Hwy, Wethrsfld (10181) Shift Mon‑Fri Job Overview The Wellness Clinic Nurse is a Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse who provides immunization services to the general public. The nurse assesses the immunization status of clients, administers vaccines, and educates clients and caregivers about immunizations. The Wellness Nurse also promotes the wellness of seniors by offering health education, screening services, and referrals. Key Areas of Responsibility Review protocols and age‑specific vaccine requirements before clinic opening. Complete client immunization consent forms and maintain accurate clinic records. Prepare vaccines per manufacturer’s instructions and administer them using safe techniques. Disposal of bio‑hazardous waste in the prescribed manner. Apply knowledge of Vaccine Safety Control requirements. Coordinate and maintain wellness programming, including blood‑pressure clinics, diabetes and cholesterol screening. Provide educational information to clients based on current health guidelines regarding hypertension, diabetes and elevated cholesterol, and refer patients to PCPs. Perform other related duties as required. Qualifications One (1) year of prior professional nursing experience preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration Active professional nursing license in the state of practice. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements Knowledge of intramuscular, intradermal and subcutaneous injection techniques.
