About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 3 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, EFM Certification, NCC Must-Have: 1:1 Patient Ratios Epic Charting Experience Description: Position involves working in a Labor and Delivery unit. Nurses will care for childbearing individuals and newborns during Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum phases. The facility handles complex high-risk cases, with approximately 150 deliveries per month. Desired candidates will have experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal care. Nurses will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapy and Social Services. Basic skills required include: administration of blood and blood products, management of IVs, and supporting lactation. Candidates are expected to assist in vaginal deliveries and perform episiotomy care. Experience with high-risk antepartum care and neonatal abstinence syndrome is beneficial. Nurses may be required to float to other areas within the facility. Candidates should be willing to provide care for individuals with life-threatening conditions. It is important that candidates can effectively manage multiple comorbidities in patients. Successful candidates will display excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
