Part-Time Thrift Store Associate

Location: Richardson, TX

Job Type: Part-Time, 36 hours per week, weekends required

We are looking for a dependable, friendly, and hardworking  Thrift Store Sales Associate to join our team at a mission-driven thrift store in Richardson, Texas.

This is a hands-on retail position for someone who enjoys working with people, staying busy, and being part of a small team. You’ll help with everything from assisting customers and running the register to sorting donations, stocking the sales floor, keeping the store organized, and helping volunteers.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the cash register and process cash, credit card, and return transactions
• Receive, sort, price, and organize donated items
• Stock and replenish merchandise throughout the store
• Keep racks, shelves, displays, and sales areas organized and inviting
• Help maintain a clean store, including regular tidying and sweeping
• Assist with merchandise displays, promotions, and sales events
• Welcome volunteers, help assign tasks, and provide guidance as needed
• Assist with inventory and alert management to merchandise needs
• Follow store procedures and safety guidelines
• Work as part of a small team to keep daily store operations running smoothly

• Dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Able to multitask in a sometimes busy, sometimes quiet retail environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Attention to detail
• Comfortable standing for extended periods
• Able to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Previous retail, thrift store, customer service, or cashier experience is required
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required
