About the Role: Line Cook PM
The Line Cook PM plays a critical role in the evening kitchen operations, ensuring the timely and high-quality preparation of food items according to established recipes and standards. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workstation while collaborating closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences. The Line Cook PM must efficiently manage multiple orders during peak hours, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail. This role contributes to the overall success of the kitchen by adhering to food safety regulations and supporting inventory management. Ultimately, the Line Cook PM helps uphold the restaurant's reputation by consistently producing delicious and visually appealing dishes in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment during evening hours.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary school training or certification.
- Experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to assist with menu development and suggest improvements.
- Knowledge of inventory management and ordering processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines during the evening shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations, following all health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
- Monitor food quality and portion sizes to minimize waste and maintain consistency.
- Assist with inventory control by reporting low stock levels and properly storing ingredients.
