About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for North Carolina to lead its mission of driving mobility and opportunity in the technology landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for raising $3-5 million annually through a diversified portfolio, including workforce and education foundations, public funding, corporate partners, and major donors. This role demands a senior executive with a proven track record in fundraising, external affairs, and strategic growth, preferably within workforce development, education, or mission-driven organizations. The Executive Director will be the senior leader in the region, building and maintaining high-level relationships with funders, employers, government agencies, and community partners. They will also be tasked with developing and executing a regional strategy that aligns with the company's mission, strengthens employer partnerships, and drives job attainment outcomes. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have at least 10 years of senior executive experience and a deep understanding of the North Carolina workforce, philanthropic, and economic development ecosystems. The role requires an exceptional communicator and relationship-builder, committed to advancing economic mobility, workforce equity, and racial equity outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team leadership, performance management, and financial stewardship, with the ability to ensure long-term financial sustainability through disciplined budget management. Key responsibilities include team leadership, regional strategy and policy alignment, and internal oversight to meet or exceed regional goals for enrollment, completion, job placement, funder satisfaction, and financial sustainability.
