EmbryologistFrisco - Frisco, TX 75034OverviewSalary Range $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 Salary Position Type Full-TimeDescriptionJob Summary: Dallas IVF is seeking a full time, highly skilled Embryologist to join our assisted reproductive technology laboratory team. This position operates under CLIA standards and supports high-complexity laboratory services in accordance with CMS and Department of Health and Human Services regulations. The Embryologist is responsible for performing advanced reproductive laboratory procedures, supporting patient care through IVF and andrology services, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Perform core embryology and andrology procedures including oocyte identification and grading, sperm preparation, insemination, and fertilization assessmentConduct embryo culture, monitoring, evaluation, and preparation for transferPerform cryopreservation and thawing of embryos and gametesExecute intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) in accordance with departmental quality standards (?80% normal fertilization, ?5% degeneration)Perform assisted hatching following established protocolsConduct semen analysis and sperm preparation for IVF and intrauterine inseminationEvaluate and troubleshoot specimen collection and processing issuesSupport blastocyst culture, embryo development assessment, and related ART proceduresAssist with oocyte retrieval and embryo transfer procedures in coordination with clinical teamsMaintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all laboratory procedures and communicationsEnsure compliance with SART reporting requirements and assist with data submissionSupport research activities, manuscript preparation, and scientific presentations as neededParticipate in quality improvement initiatives, statistical data collection, and laboratory auditsMaintain inventory of laboratory supplies and ensure proper ordering and stock managementPerform routine quality control, instrument maintenance, and semi-annual calibrationsIdentify and respond to safety hazards, equipment alarms, and emergency situations per protocolMaintain strict adherence to infection control, safety standards, and emergency preparedness proceduresEnsure patient identification and verification using two identifiers in compliance with laboratory protocolsSupport training and mentoring of new employees and laboratory staffServe as a resource for physicians, staff, and patients regarding embryology and laboratory processesOther duties as assignedMinimum Education:Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory/medical technology science requiredMinimum Experience:Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience requiredExperience in sterile laboratory procedures requiredExperience in human or animal assisted reproduction laboratory preferred, including IVFKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong understanding of reproductive physiology and embryologyProficiency in IVF laboratory techniquesStrong attention to detail and laboratory documentation accuracyAbility to work independently while adhering to strict protocols and regulatory standardsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong data entry and Microsoft Office skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and regulatory requirementsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a high-complexity laboratory environmentCore Attributes:Demonstrates accountability for quality, accuracy, and timeliness of workMaintains a solutions-oriented and improvement-focused mindsetUpholds professionalism and contributes positively to team cultureAdheres to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standardsSupports a culture of safety, respect, and continuous improvementWorking Conditions:Clinical laboratory environment with exposure to biological specimensRequires adherence to strict safety, quality, and regulatory protocolsFast-paced environment with high attention to detail and precision requirementsMay require participation in emergency response procedures and extended lab coverage as neededPhysical Requirements:Frequent standing, sitting, and fine motor manipulation of laboratory toolsAbility to perform repetitive precise technical proceduresAbility to communicate effectively in person and in writingAbility to manage laboratory materials and equipment safely and efficientlyIvy Fertility is an equal opportunity employer.
