Central Christian School is seeking a passionate, mission-driven Secondary Bible Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position may be structured as either a part-time or full-time role, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and ability to contribute in additional areas of school life. We welcome applicants from both educational and ministry backgrounds who have a heart for teaching God's Word and discipling students.
The Secondary Bible Teacher serves middle and high school students by providing engaging biblical instruction, fostering spiritual growth, and helping students develop a Christian worldview that influences how they think, learn, and live.
As a member of our faculty, the Secondary Bible Teacher partners with families and colleagues to support the mission of Central Christian School: educating, equipping, and inspiring students to impact the world for Christ.
Position Summary
The Secondary Bible Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering Bible instruction for students in grades 6–12. The teacher creates a classroom environment that encourages biblical literacy, spiritual growth, meaningful discussion, and the practical application of Scripture to everyday life.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a mature Christian faith, a love for students, and a desire to help young people develop a lifelong relationship with Christ.
Essential Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Learning
Teach Bible courses to middle and high school students.
Develop engaging lesson plans rooted in Scripture and aligned with course objectives.
Foster biblical literacy, critical thinking, and Christian worldview development.
Create opportunities for discussion, reflection, and application of biblical truth.
Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative methods.
Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Spiritual Leadership
Model a growing and authentic Christian faith.
Encourage students in their spiritual development and discipleship.
Integrate biblical truth into classroom culture and relationships.
Pray with and for students as appropriate.
Participate in chapel services, spiritual emphasis events, and school-wide faith activities.
Serve as a positive Christian role model for students and families.
Classroom & School Community
Establish and maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment.
Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Communicate effectively regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Support the mission, values, and culture of Central Christian School.
Qualifications
Required
Personal faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with the school's Statement of Faith.
Active involvement in a Bible-believing Christian church.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Ability to teach from a biblical worldview.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom leadership skills.
Passion for working with middle and high school students.
Commitment to Christian education and student discipleship.
Preferred
Teaching license or classroom teaching experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Bible, Theology, Christian Education, Ministry, or a related field.
Experience teaching middle school and/or high school students.
Experience in Christian education, church ministry, youth ministry, discipleship, or pastoral leadership.
Alternative Qualifications Considered
Candidates with significant ministry experience, biblical training, youth ministry leadership, or demonstrated teaching ability may be considered in lieu of traditional classroom teaching experience.

Part-Time
Bible instruction responsibilities only.
Ideal for pastors, ministry leaders, retired educators, or professionals seeking a reduced schedule.
Full-Time
Bible instruction plus additional teaching, student support, elective, mentoring, or school responsibilities based on qualifications and experience.
