UPMC Mercy is expanding, and we’re looking for detail-oriented professionals to join our Sterile Processing team during a pivotal time of growth. Whether you’re interested in our evening shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) or night shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) , this is your chance to step into a hands-on role that directly supports surgical excellence and patient care.

What You’ll Do:
As a Sterile Processing Associate, you’ll be responsible for cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment. You’ll support major initiatives like our OR upgrade and Pavilion relocation, helping ensure safe, efficient operations across the hospital.

What We’re Looking For:

• Prior healthcare experience is required
• Solid attendance and professionalism
• Certification is a plus, but not required

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments using manual and mechanical methods
• Assemble surgical trays and case carts per established protocols
• Monitor and document sterilization parameters
• Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively
• Participate in performance improvement and ongoing education
