RN Infection Control Specialist

The RN Infection Control Specialist is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, and monitoring of an infection control program and/or employee health program. The RN Infection Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating programs designed to detect, evaluate and minimize risks of acquired infections to patients, employees and visitors. The RN Infection Control Specialist supports and acts as a resource to administration, medical staff, and all hospital or clinic services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensures as a Registered Nurse in the state of assignment required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Three to five (3-5) years' experience in employee health or infection control preferred
• Infection Control Certification preferred
• Knowledge of state, federal and JC regulations
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
