Depending on which unit works, CNAs provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. They work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.* Take and record vital signs correctly.* Utilize sound judgment during assessment and observe and document changes in a patient's appearance, behavior, or ability to work toward treatment plan goals.* Communicate changes in the patient's condition to the charge nurse.* Follow the therapeutic interventions outlined by the treatment team for each patient.* Document the treatment plan, nursing interventions, and the patient's response to the intervention.* Employ appropriate crisis intervention techniques as needed* Assist patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living.* Act as the patient's advocate and uphold the patient's rights.**Your Experience Matters** *What we’re looking for:** **Education:** A high school degree or equivalent is preferred. An accredited degree in social work, recreational therapy, or an appropriate therapeutic discipline is also preferred.* **Experience:**One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness, preferred.* **Licensure:** Must have a valid Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant license.
