Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite in our outpatient office in Los Angeles, where you will collaborate closely with a small team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic work environment that prioritizes teamwork and collaboration in patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized care plans that address the unique needs, goals, and requirements of each patient.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload, treating one patient per hour to ensure focused and high-quality care.
  • Utilize your skills in orthopedic assessment to diagnose conditions and design appropriate treatment interventions.
  • Implement evidence-based practices while delivering cost-effective therapies aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain.
  • Encourage the use of non-pharmaceutical interventions and explore advanced therapeutic options that may mitigate the need for surgery.
  • Motivate patients through personalized fitness and wellness programs tailored to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall function.
  • Utilize manual therapy and exercise protocol techniques to aid in the rehabilitation process following injury or surgery.
  • Track and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary based on outcomes and ongoing assessments.
  • Document all patient interactions thoroughly in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, mainly utilizing WebPT software for accuracy in records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily treats patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your role would involve working closely with this diverse patient population to help them regain mobility, reduce pain levels, and achieve their rehabilitation goals, ensuring that each individual's unique journey towards healing is fully supported.

Qualifications

  • Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
  • Hold a valid Physical Therapist license in California.
  • Demonstrate a clean professional record, free from disciplinary actions by the state licensing board.
  • Exhibit strong capabilities in manual therapy techniques and the development of customized exercise plans.
  • Proven ability to use EMR systems effectively; familiarity with WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in treating orthopedic patients within outpatient settings, showcasing an in-depth understanding of rehabilitation processes and patient engagement strategies. Additional workshops or certifications in specialized therapy techniques will be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
