Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Emergency Room RN provides immediate and specialized nursing care to patients in emergency situations. They are responsible for assessing patient needs, delivering timely interventions, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and determine priority of care.
• Administer emergency treatments and medications according to established protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and other medical staff to deliver comprehensive emergency care.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, hygiene, and hospital policies while maintaining a high standard of clinical practice.
• Complete mandatory orientation and certification requirements before starting clinical duties.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New Jersey or Compact RN license.
• Possess at least three years of recent emergency department experience.
• Demonstrate experience working in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
• Have traveled and completed at least one contract assignment in an emergency setting.
• Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS, and ensure all certifications remain valid.
• Be able to work every other weekend, with no holiday shifts required and a maximum of three days of RTO.
