Audiology Technician

Audiology Technician (Temporary)Aldevra is currently seeking a temporary Audiology Technician to assist Audiologist in the performance of audiologic evaluations and the fitting of hearing aids. Provide direct patient support for walk-in and telephone hearing aid problems. The ideal candidate will already align with our core values of SOAR (Strong Integrity and Ethics, Outstanding Teamwork, Accountability-Driven and Relentless Pursuit of Quality).The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Assist Audiologist in Audiological EvaluationsTaking accurate ear mold impressionsPreparing the mold for shippingTracking hearing aid orders and communicating with vendorsMonitoring suppliesRoutine repairs of hearing aidsClean and maintain audiologic equipment in accordance with OSHA standardsProvide chart review as neededInstruct clients in the proper maintenance, cleaning and use of hearing aids and/or assisted listening devices (ALD)Communicating and documenting patient education and reports in the medical recordCerumen ManagementMay routinely be required to do a variety of previously unforeseen tasks in order to assist with the smooth function of the Audiology clinicAll other duties assignedThis position requires passing an extensive background check.This position is based in a clinical environment and involves direct patient interaction, hands-on audiology support, hearing aid care, equipment cleaning and maintenance, computer work and documentation, and collaboration with the audiology team.Maintain attention to detail, follow clinical procedures, and document accurately.Organize tasks, manage changing priorities, and recognize when to seek assistance.Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, caregivers, coworkers, and vendors.Perform precise hand movements when handling hearing aids, small components, and clinical instruments.Observe small parts, read records and screens, and inspect equipment using appropriate aids as needed.Position oneself for patient care and access, handle, move, and clean job-related supplies and equipment.Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent and trainingOne-year experience as Audiology Technician is preferredOne-year previous medical experience or training in medical fields (such as medical assistant, lab assistant, LPN).Dependable, professional, punctual and must have good written and verbal communication skills.Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluentlyAuthorized to work in the United States for any employerValid Real-ID state-issued driver's licenseAble to multi-talk efficiently and accurately, focusing on qualityProvide proof of the following tests:Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA)Measles, Mumps, and RubellaVaricellaAcellular PertussisInfluenzaOSHA regulation concerning occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogensVeterans and Military Spouses are encouraged to apply.We offer you a generous benefits package including:Paid Time OffEmployee 401(k) with company matchProfessional Team EnvironmentCompetitive CompensationAldevra is an equal opportunity, E-Verify employer, drug free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.
