Registered Nurse - Nursery

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Mother/Baby or postpartum specialty experience. AHA BLS and NRP certifications are required, while ACLS is preferred. Prior travel experience is highly preferred. Experience in large (500+ bed) hospitals or teaching facilities is preferred. Recent EPIC experience within the last 2 years is required.

The RN will monitor maternal recovery and newborn health, assess vital signs, support infant feeding and bonding, provide postpartum education, and document care in the EPIC system. Nurses may assist with newborn assessments, medication administration, and patient teaching. Travelers may be scheduled for every other weekend or more based on unit needs, with orientation provided prior to starting the assignment.

This position is for a Mother/Baby (Couplet Care) Registered Nurse working 12-hour rotating shifts, primarily nights with occasional rotation to days as needed. The RN provides postpartum care for both mother and newborn, supporting recovery after delivery and ensuring safe newborn transition. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and neonatal health, assisting with breastfeeding education, and providing family-centered postpartum care in a hospital setting.
