Summary of Performance Expectations Performs venous punctures to collect blood specimens for analysis. Processes patient registration information for specimens from outpatients, home health agencies, and clinics. Education And Credentials Required High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program or minimum of three months phlebotomy experience. Preferred Work Experience Required No previous experience necessary if graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. Preferred Clerical experience in a healthcare environment
