Senior Associate Scientist, Mass Spectrometry

Responsibilities: Support and maintain analytical instrumentation, including mass spectrometers. Collect data for mass spectrometry-based characterization of biotherapeutics. Collaborate on technology development to reduce the cost and improve efficiency, speed, and quality of analytical methods. Support project work and present findings in cross-functional team meetings. Manage laboratory inventory and organization. Qualifications (required): Hands-on bench experience in a research setting. Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation, including method development in Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (as applicable). Protein characterization experience and understanding of protein chemistry fundamentals. Ability to work in a fast, collaborative, team-oriented environment. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field and 2+ years relevant experience. Hands-on experience with Orbitrap and TOF mass spectrometers. Experience with mass spectrometry software: Protein Metrics, Xcalibur, Freestyle, and MassLynx.
