Solutions Specialist, HSG (Humanities, Social Sciences & Gale) We are a global education technology company dedicated to helping students and educators succeed. In this role, the Solutions Specialist is a consultative, new‑business seller who expands market share and drives competitive takeaways within the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Gale solution areas. Responsibilities Own the entire sales cycle for course and department‑level new adoptions and competitive takeaways. Lead consultative discovery conversations that uncover instructional challenges, curriculum needs, and departmental goals; deliver high‑quality product demonstrations and customized presentations. Collaborate with Product Consultants for high‑stakes presentations and complex opportunities, ensuring seamless coordination and increased win probability for high‑value targets. Coordinate with Principal Account Directors to provide insights on digital adoption, competitive movement, and faculty sentiment that inform institutional strategy. Develop targeted strategies to win high‑value competitive accounts, activate faculty advocates and reference customers, and analyze field trends and competitor presence. Maintain a disciplined pipeline for new business opportunities using Salesforce; plan strategic activity, track engagement, forecast accurately, and prioritize highest‑value opportunities. Required Skills Minimum 2 years of customer‑facing sales, education, or training experience with a proven record of strong performance (or 5+ years equivalent). Strong consultative selling and presentation skills, capable of influencing faculty and academic leaders. High digital proficiency with learning platforms and comfort delivering virtual and in‑person demos. Positive relationship‑building capabilities and credibility with academic collaborators. Independent territory, pipeline, and complete sales cycle management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). Ability to travel to campuses and events as required. Preferred Skills Experience in EdTech, SaaS, or new‑business acquisition roles. Background in teaching, instructional design, or academic environments. Experience partnering with product, marketing, or customer‑success functions. Compensation $58,300.00 – $75,750.00 USD (base pay range). Additional variable sales‑incentive compensation is available. Target variable compensation: $45,000.00 annual (individual target). Actual incentive earnings are not guaranteed and may vary based on performance.
