General Pediatrician

Job Summary Geisinger Multi‑Specialty Clinic in Lock Haven is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible physician in General Pediatrics to provide health maintenance and acute care for patients newborn to 18 years of age. Responsibilities Assess and establish a diagnosis and implement treatment plans for patients. Make accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record. Order and interpret diagnostic testing and consult as appropriate. Prescribe appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence‑based practice. Provide outpatient care with limited evening and weekend phone‑call coverage. Work a 20‑hour week Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm with occasional Saturday clinic coverage (8 am‑12 pm every 1–4–8 weekends, dependent on provider complement). Provide care in a new multispecialty clinic with primary care, some subspecialties, and urgent‑care on site. Lab, pharmacy, and radiology are on site. Utilize available social work, psychology, and pediatric subspecialty support. Engage in medical‑student education and serve as adjunct faculty at the Geisinger School of Medicine. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (required). Board‑certified or board‑eligible in General Pediatrics. Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania. Qualified for practice in a primary‑care pediatric setting with outpatient clinic experience.
