Job Details Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date: 11/2/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Shifts Per Week: 3 Shift Duration: 12 hours Hours Per Week: 36 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160 Setting: High-volume Level 4 Labor & Delivery unit Location: Columbus, OH 43210 Schedule Notes: May be required to float to related women’s health or postpartum units as needed Job Requirements At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission BLS, ACLS, and NRP required AWHONN Advanced or NCC C-EFM accepted in lieu of AWHONN Advanced Epic charting experience required IV start experience required Experience in Labor & Delivery required Previous travel nursing experience preferred Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program preferred Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a fast-moving clinical environment Responsibilities Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery Monitor labor progress and support patients through vaginal deliveries and C-sections Perform fetal monitoring, including interpretation of tracing patterns and use of EFM Assist with triage, antepartum care, postpartum recovery, and high-risk obstetrical support Start and maintain IVs, administer medications and blood products, and support infusion therapies as ordered Provide care for patients receiving magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and other common L&D interventions Support bedside procedures such as sterile vaginal exams, cord sample collection, and C-section recovery Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellent patient outcomes and efficient unit flow Document accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical organization throughout the shift Float to related units within the organization as needed based on patient care needs Location Highlights Located in Columbus, a lively city known for its welcoming neighborhoods, growing food scene, and easy access to parks and entertainment The 43210 area offers a convenient central location with a balance of urban amenities and community feel Ideal for clinicians seeking Ohio nursing jobs and a dynamic travel nurse assignment in a major metro area Apply now for this Columbus, Ohio Labor & Delivery RN travel opportunity and join a dedicated healthcare team today!
