Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

Position Overview

Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals as a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool. In this role, you will have the opportunity to float throughout the hospital, including departments such as the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. This position offers the chance to enhance your skills across various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple units.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient care with a focus on safety, comfort, and dignity.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment in assessing and addressing patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required. First-time travelers will not be considered.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to respond promptly to patient needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work in various departments as required.

Scheduling and Availability

• Must have flexibility in scheduling due to the nature of float pool assignments.
• No specific schedule requests can be accommodated.
• Weekend work is required every other weekend.

Holiday Requirements

Staff members are expected to work during major holidays based on their assignment period:

• If one major holiday occurs, working on that holiday is mandatory.
• If two major holidays occur, working both is required.
• For three major holidays, working two holidays is necessary.

Major Holidays Include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving or Black Friday
• Christmas Eve or Christmas Day
• New Year's Eve or New Year's Day

Compliance and Onboarding

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. Failure to meet compliance deadlines may result in a delayed start of up to two weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedules.

Local candidates are accepted and will receive the same rate as travelers.
