Location: Johnstown, PA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts available: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Weekend hours required: Saturday or Sunday twice per 4-week schedule.

Job Description: The Certified Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for the sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring all protocols are followed to maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness. The tech will work closely with the surgical team and other departments in a regional Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments according to established procedures.
• Maintain sterilization equipment and report any malfunctions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards.
• Monitor and document sterilization processes.
• Assist with inventory management and supply ordering.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Certified Sterile Processing Certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Familiarity with sterilization equipment including V-Pro, Ultrasonic Machine, and Stem Sterilizer.
