Litigation Associate – Complex Commercial Litigation

Our client is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a sophisticated Complex Commercial Litigation practice in Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, driven attorney who thrives on high-level legal analysis and wants meaningful hands-on experience in significant matters.

The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of litigation experience , outstanding intellectual curiosity, and exceptional research and writing skills . This team handles sophisticated, high-stakes commercial disputes and is looking for someone with the bandwidth for sophisticated work.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial litigation matters through all phases of litigation.
• Draft and respond to motions, including dispositive motions such as motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment .
• Manage discovery, conduct legal research, take and defend depositions, and support trial preparation.
• Gain substantial first- and second-chair experience in motions practice, discovery, depositions, and trials involving consequential cases.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of litigation experience, ideally in complex commercial matters.
• Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• A strong writing sample is required, ideally a motion to dismiss or motion for summary judgment .
• Active Maryland bar admission required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sophisticated work and perform in a demanding, high-level practice.
