Accounting Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required; accounting management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with standard costing, bill of materials (BOM) management, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Proven ability to perform account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial statement preparation.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to leadership.
• Ability to work in an office environment for a standard 8-hour shift, with flexibility for overtime, weekends, or extended shifts as business needs require.
• Must comply with safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Duties:

• Manage full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, payroll allocations, and fixed asset accounting.
• Review and approve daily production costing transactions while ensuring accuracy of standard costing and inventory records.
• Prepare, analyze, and present cost accounting reports, variance analyses, and financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
• Research and resolve standard costing discrepancies, BOM setup issues, and work center overhead cost variances.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records, supporting documentation, and audit readiness.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and cost accounting standards while identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial planning, reporting, audits, and year-end activities, providing schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation as needed.
• Recommend and implement accounting controls, process improvements, and best practices to strengthen financial performance and accuracy.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
