What You'll Be Doing: Efficiently and accurately completes a variety of civil engineering assignments such as preparation of 3D models and drawings in Autodesk Civil3D, specifications via SpecsIntact, calculations and other design deliverables suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings and 3D civil models. Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs. Interfaces with other Engineering disciplines to ensure coordinated design products and with other departments to support procurement and construction activities. Prepares detailed requisitions for construction services, equipment and materials. Prepares engineering responses to Requests for Information and may work directly with construction teams to resolve issues and/or revise design products during construction. Provides technical guidance to CAD Drafters, 3D Model Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and typically 12+ years of related work experience. Proficiency in utilizing Autodesk Civil3D and other PC software packages typically associated with civil engineering is required. Excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required. Experience in Civil Infrastructure on US Government projects to include, site design, roads, site grading and drainage, utilities, and stormwater design. Proficiency in Civil 3D is required. Professional Engineer registration in Texas. Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
