Staff Accountant

Staff Accountant Lone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Staff Accountant. Looking for a skilled and well-rounded accountant to ensure quality work. Must be confident in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy. Role will report to our CFO. Duties & Responsibilities Process Accounts Payable invoices and vendor payments Assist with Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-up Process payroll and maintain payroll-related records Reconcile bank and credit card statements Maintain and update accounting records and files Enter and verify accounting data for accuracy Assist with monthly account reconciliations Maintain vendor and customer records in the accounting system Assist with sales tax documentation and reporting Support the accounting team with administrative and clerical duties as needed Prepare reports and spreadsheets as requested Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or payroll experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience with accounting software is a plus Texas sales tax knowledge is a plus Vista by Viewpoint experience is a plus Professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity required Benefits Medical, vision and dental insurance 401k retirement savings plan Company paid life insurance Paid time off Our company maintains a strong policy of equal employment opportunity for all associates.
