The American Heart Association has an opportunity for a temporary position as a Development Coordinator on our Youth Engagement VP Team. This position will report to the VP of Youth Engagement. This is a part-time position that is funded through Spring 202 7 .

This position is responsible for helping to support our local Youth Engagement Director with various projects and duties such as traveling to schools, scheduling & implementing a ‘Kick Off Assembly’ to students & teachers at various local schools, data entry, working with excel spreadsheets, online ordering, helping to facilitate material orders, scheduling various meetings and working with our local print site on the production of collateral materials.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the local Youth Engagement Director with their fundraising duties such as helping to schedule/implement Kick Off Assemblies and delivering/picking up various items from local schools (mileage reimbursement will apply).
• Data entry, spreadsheet management and expense report assistance
• Helping to facilitate online material orders for schools and staff
• Working with local print vendor to help facilitate print orders
• Ensure adherence to all national and regional Youth Engagement policies, guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with national and regional counterparts in other areas of the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage and maintain accurate volunteer and supporter information within our customer relationship management (CRM) system and Microsoft platforms, ensuring data is current and up to date.

Qualifications

• Three years of prior experience in a supporting role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with all social strata, occupations, and a variety of backgrounds.
• Ability to travel to/from home to local schools.
• Ability to work as part of an integrated team.
