$500 sign-on bonus paid after 120 days of continuous employment!

Pay:

$25.00 - $29.00 an hour depending on experience

Position Summary:

Our ideal candidate will be a skilled operator who always practices safety and can efficiently operate heavy equipment in support of underground utility, pipe installation, grading, and various projects.

• Operate heavy machinery such as loaders and excavators
• Support pipe crew and / or miscellaneous crews with grading and earthwork projects
• Communicate with the Foreman, crews, and Project Manager to carry out tasks assigned
• Ensure job site safety of all individuals working
• Inspect equipment and ensure it is in good working condition / safe to run
• Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of company provided vehicle and equipment

Required Skills and Experience:

• A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in operating heavy machinery (excavator, loader, etc.)
• 1 year experience in grading, earthwork, and/or underground utility construction
• Ability to safely operate all types of heavy equipment used on job sites
• Must be able to read, understand, and interpret plans / blueprints
• Familiarity with “Blue Stakes” amp; what the various colored markings are for each utility a plus
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
• Competency and awareness of surroundings to identify safety hazards
• Comfortable with exposure to various weather conditions
