Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Helper

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELLSciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Helper to join our growing team of professionals. The helper will assist with routine installation and checkout on a variety of systems utilizing codes, company procedures, engineering drawings, and personnel analysis. Develops a positive interface with the customer to ensure confidence and satisfaction with the system installation.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)Utilizes electrical tools and meters.Aids with conduit & wire installation.Assist with device installation (i.e., fire alarm/security devices).Assist with installation of fire alarm, voice/data, and security systems.Perform other related duties as assigned.Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU!High school diploma or equivalent.Interested in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.Good organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.Ability to work overtime & out of town, if needed.Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency.Ability to work independently with some supervision.Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10.Effective organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.Ability to travel occasionally overnight, as needed.Ability to learn and safely use standard trade tools.WHAT WE’RE BRINGING TO THE TABLECompetitive salary based on qualifications.Paid time off plan and holidays.401(k) matching.Short term and long-term disability.Medical, dental, and vision plans with options.Life insurance.Professional career development opportunities.Tuition reimbursement. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sciens Building Solutions
