Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Columbia, SC | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed (on-call, when required, is limited to the first 4 hours)
• Float within scope to other like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Adhere to facility protocols, including potential assignment to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry RN experience
• Active South Carolina RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered as a standard candidate; local candidates (within 60 miles) may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, though first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation in an acute care setting
