Position Overview:

Moore Clean LLC is seeking an experienced Diesel & Hydraulic Mechanic to join our Houston operations team. 7,200 square foot garage with 8 bays. Cold AC in warehouse. Full health benefits after 90 days of work. This position focuses on maintaining and repairing commercial street sweepers, diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems used in nightly highway and retail sweeping operations.

The ideal candidate must be experienced in diagnosing front and rear motors, troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues, and performing repairs on heavy-duty sweepers and fleet equipment. We are looking for someone dependable, motivated, and capable of keeping our fleet operational with minimal downtime.

This is a hands-on role working closely with operations, drivers, and management to maintain a safe and reliable fleet.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and air brake systems on commercial sweepers.
• Troubleshoot and repair front motors and rear auxiliary motors on street sweepers.
• Perform preventive maintenance, oil changes, hydraulic services, and filter replacements.
• Replace sweeper components including conveyor belts, hydraulic hoses, pumps, brooms, bearings, starters, brakes, sensors, and electrical components.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures using proper diagnostic procedures.
• Inspect fleet equipment for safety and operational readiness.
• Repair and maintain air brake systems on heavy-duty equipment.
• Work on sweepers including Schwarze M6, Tymco, Elgin, A7, and similar equipment.
• Maintain clean and accurate repair logs and service reports.
• Assist with emergency repairs and occasional night or weekend breakdowns when needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Requirements:

• Must be Diesel Mechanic Certified.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional diesel mechanic experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on hydraulic system experience required.
• Experience working on heavy equipment, commercial trucks, or street sweepers preferred.
• Experience with street sweepers, vacuum trucks, or municipal equipment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, motors, valves, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of air brake systems and diesel diagnostics.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Must own a complete set of personal mechanic tools.
• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL Class B preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in outdoor shop environments.
