Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Hours: 36 hours per week
On Call: Sunday call once in a 6-week rotation (12-hour shift)
Holidays: Holiday coverage required

About the Facility
High Point Main is a 351-bed teaching hospital with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. It is not a designated trauma center.

About the Unit
You'll join a 6-bed adult inpatient dialysis unit caring for patients with acute and chronic renal failure. The average census is 14 to 18 patients per day. The team is described as positive, close-knit, and focused on teamwork.

• Patient ratios: RN 2:1, or 3:1 with a hemodialysis technician

• Support: Charge nurse; RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage 24/7; telemetry monitoring

• Equipment/EMR: Epic, Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors, Tablo Hemodialysis System, Baxter Home Choice Claria (peritoneal dialysis)

Requirements

• Active RN license

• Minimum 1 year of experience

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

• Skills: assessments, medication administration, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis

• Clinical interview required
