Job Title: Energy Auditor/ Energy Efficiency --Project Engineer
Duration: 14 Months
Location: Newark, NJ - 07101
Hybrid - On-site in Newark on Tuesdays & Wednesdays (subject to change at clients discretion) and flexibility on the 3rd office day.
Project currently scheduled to end on 6/30/2027. However, there may be an extension based on business needs

Introduction

Join our team as a Project Staff Engineer in the Customer Energy Solutions organization, where you will apply your extensive knowledge of business and energy engineering principles. This role focuses on providing engineering support for energy efficiency projects across various programs, emphasizing energy savings estimates.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of experience related to Energy Efficiency Projects or Project Management of construction, HVAC, or mechanical projects in Industrial & Commercial sectors
• Knowledgeable of Commercial & Industrial and Multifamily energy savings measures and techniques
• Familiarity with applicable industry standards (ASHRAE, NJ Technical Reference Manual, etc.), building codes, and best practices
• Effective problem-solving, analytical thinking, decision-making skills, strong planning, and organizing skills
• Clear and concise writing and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills on critical projects or initiatives
• Proficiency with Excel & MS Word
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Client territory
• Foster an inclusive work environment and respect all aspects of diversity
• Ability to work independently
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) from AEE
• LEED Certification, P.E. License, Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Advanced skills in Excel such as complex formulas and VBA Macros
• Experience with building simulation and code compliance software (e.g., eQUEST, Client, TRACE 3D)
• Familiarity with energy-saving methodologies for advanced building controls

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Interface with Client associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to ensure program rules and requirements are maintained
• Identify, assess, examine, and standardize complex energy savings analysis within various Commercial & Industrial and Multifamily programs
• Develop technical documentation and engineering calculators to streamline technical reviews and improve the quality of deliverables
