Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: At least 2 years of labor experience Description: General Comments Unit Information: Client Infant Unit Number of Beds: 24 Number of Staff: 71 Type of Staff: Day Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator Night Shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary Patient Ratios: Labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1 Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitors, EMR Meditech, CPN Preferred or Nice to Have: 2+ years of labor experience with a history working in an LDRP with high birth volumes List of Typical Procedures Performed: Vaginal deliveries C-sections Antepartum patients Newborn and post-partum care Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security Weekends and On Call: Every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule
