Manager, Facilities Maintenance (Onsite - Tucson)

Manager, Facilities Maintenance RTX has an opening for a Manager, Facilities Maintenance (Manager, Facilities) role onsite in Tucson AZ. This role will involve managing the Facilities‑Maintenance business portfolio at the Integration and Test Facility and within all capacity growth operations in Tucson AZ, and ensuring world‑class safety metrics are maintained while partnering with EHS employees to enforce safety policies. What You Will Do: Provide a safe work environment and actively lead safety improvement discussions. Coordinate maintenance activities and support all capacity growth operations in Tucson. Coordinate Skilled Trades activities across all shifts. Coordinate with workforce planning, track employee training, certify time‑card and attendance management, and create area layout and flow management. Demonstrate a strong understanding of facilities maintenance, equipment, and infrastructure. Assign daily schedules for preventive maintenance and repair work orders and conduct stand‑up meetings, set priorities, and review reports/metrics to identify problems and create solutions. Create purchase requests and purchase orders as needed to support facilities maintenance requirements. Manage material ordering and supplies, including ordering through MRO stores for PMs and work orders. Coordinate overtime when required, and log/track hours in OTIS. Track vehicle maintenance and schedule services and repairs in collaboration with fleet management. Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare RCAS analysis for logistics review boards. Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of personnel, leadership, and customers. Drive performance improvement by analyzing metrics, daily reports, KPIs, Kaizen projects, and developing plans to achieve organizational goals. Adhere to and enforce the local collective bargaining agreement and all plant rules. Qualifications You Must Have: Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in facilities, engineering or construction, and a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of work experience and schooling. Experience using a CMMS system such as the Plant Maintenance module in SAP, Maximo, or similar. At least 3 years of experience working cross‑functionally with leadership, customers, and hourly skilled trades bargaining unit technicians. At least 3 years of experience with production equipment and building infrastructure related to facilities maintenance activities. Knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance technologies (PdM). The salary range provided is a good‑faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
