Senior Accountant or Junior Controller

Senior Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This hybrid role requires three days per week onsite at our Sun Valley office and two days working remotely. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a mid‑level role with hands‑on responsibility for the full accounting close process and financial statement preparation. The Senior Accountant will apply advanced accounting principles to analyze complex financial data, prepare reports, and ensure compliance through strong accounting controls. The position requires a self‑motivated professional with excellent analytical, communication, and time‑management skills. Prior experience in mid‑to‑large sized, distributed corporate environments is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Own and manage the full monthly accounting close process Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports Perform variation analysis and support fee calculations and payments Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and accruals Oversee fixed assets, accounts payable/receivable, and procurement processes Extract, manage, and analyze large data sets to support financial operations Lead cross‑functional projects and identify process improvement opportunities Mentor and train junior accounting team members Who We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; 3+ years in a mid‑level role Strong working knowledge of financial statement preparation and month‑end close Experience with complex accounting processes and variance analysis Proven ability to lead teams and train staff Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data management) Excellent communication, analytical, and time‑management skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Accounting or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience. Experience: Five years of relevant work experience (in addition to the education requirement). Expert accounting, accounts payable, and/or accounts receivable knowledge may be required. The expected base pay range for this office/on‑site position is $100,000 - $105,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive pay.
