We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team. Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management
• Lead and supervise retail sales teams by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to foster a high-energy, customer-focused environment
• Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to optimize product availability and presentation
• Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees with a focus on employee orientation and development
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive customer relations
• Manage shift schedules, monitor sales targets, and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store goals
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, payroll processing support, and assist with budgeting activities to ensure operational efficiency

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager within a retail environment with supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math skills for cash handling and sales calculations
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial communication across departments
• Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff, training & development, and operational management
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Familiarity with retail industry sales team management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and marketing concepts
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills and time management capabilities
• Experience in grocery or specialty retail stores is advantageous but not mandatory
