Senior Oncology Specialist Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be the liaison to our customers by providing clinical knowledge of our products to medical professionals. What you will do You will act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals. Our Senior Oncology Specialists achieve territory sales by utilizing their Oncology background and experience to: Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan, delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling, and following up with medical educational programs to achieve or exceed sales targets. Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts. Craft an effective marketing strategy to drive sales. Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with your District Manager. Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle, building our brand and serving patients. Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously learn to grow as a Senior Oncology Specialist. Leverage passion for Oncology and disease state awareness, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related. OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related. OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience or clinical experience in healthcare/scientific field not sales related. Preferred Qualifications Preferred experience in Oncology. Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries. Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology and inflammation, or related specialties. Local market knowledge. A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration. Proficiency in core competencies: Planning and Organizing; Leveraging Business, Industry, and Technical Knowledge; Communicating with Impact; Driving for Results; and Cultivating Internal and External Relationships. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $158,727 to $177,179. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
