This contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive educational team and provide critical services to students, families, and educators.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current certification and licensure as a School Psychologist in Connecticut
- Knowledge of educational testing, behavioral assessment, and IEP processes
- Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Experience conducting individual and group counseling, as well as crisis intervention
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Flexible, compassionate, and culturally sensitive approach to diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral needs using a variety of tools
- Interpret evaluation data and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop, support, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans
- Provide direct counseling and interventions to address student concerns
- Serve as a resource for teachers and families by recommending appropriate strategies, interventions, and supports
- Support crisis response and prevention initiatives within the school
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in school psychology
