Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,479 a week in all, a taxable rate of $33.67 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

The Medical Surgical Floor RN (Registered Nurse) position is based in a healthcare facility and offers 12-hour night shifts. • Position Description:

The RN protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, preventing illness and alleviating suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human responses, and advocating within the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance with standards of practice and professional growth as outlined by the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients, serving as a primary or accountable nurse per unit assignment, with consideration for safety, efficiency, and competency. The RN also educates patients and families on health promotion and disease management, safely administers medications, and participates in unit improvement initiatives.

• Required Qualifications:

Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years, management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years, five (5) or more years of direct experience, current NYS RN License, BLS Certification (American Heart Association, HSI, or American Red Cross), and graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.

• Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, professional certification in a related nursing specialty, and additional relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC, as required by the assigned unit.

• Schedule:

Night shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, with some flexibility if able.

• Additional Information:

The role includes responsibilities such as wound care, IV skills including starting and accessing PICC lines and ports, and supporting a collaborative team environment. Candidates must actively participate in professional development and mandatory continuing education to maintain licensure and certification requirements.
